Robert Geller: SS08

Posted Mar 30, 2008 by Emanuel in robert geller

One half of the designing team behind esteemed fashion label, Cloak (now defunct), Robert Geller has since moved on designing for his own line. For Spring/Summer '08, Geller draws inspiration from the sensible utilitarian style of German art-icon Joseph Beuys and the extremes of the goth, punk and skate cultures of the '80s.

There is one descriptor that comes to mind at the mere mention of Alexander Wang: quality. If you were to ask any of the staff members about which pieces they loved most from the store, each would be bound to pick something from this collection, which boasts exquisite construction and truly luxurious fabrics. Not to mention some of the best fitting and stylish garments.

Alexander Wang Shirt Dress, 100% Silk, $585 CAD

Alexander Wang Vest with Back Pleat, 51% Viscose-Rayon/47% Virgin Wool/2% Lycra; Lining: 100% Silk, $395 CAD
Alexander Wang Pleated Tank Top, 100% Cupra, $395 CAD

Though incredibly simple, this fabulous magenta dress is a staff favorite. Made from 100% silk, the fact that the seams are virtually invisible shows how incredibly well-constructed the garment is.
