Founded in Vancouver by Wayne Gonzales, Dennis Cruz and Carlo Brito, Mount Pleasant Athletic Club is designed for an active lifestyle while encompassing a traditional aesthetic. The streetwear influenced apparel is intended, not only for training, but also for use off the court. With a casual and timeless feel, MPAC personifies the community oriented athletics of the neighbourhood which is its namesake.
In honor of the current Tour de France nearing completion, here we here a video of Sir Paul Smith riding in the streets and being photographed for GQ with friend & cyclist Mark Cavendish - who just won the 18th stage of T.D.F!
A very special Paul Smith Fall 2012 coming to gravitypope very, very soon.
The people over at oki-ni have put together a fantastic look into one of fashion's most interesting and inspiring minds. Sir Paul Smith shares his views on business, ego, fashion, curiosity, and much more. If you've ever wondered where his idea for "lemon in the eye" comes from, and what that means, read up on the man behind some of our favorite collections here.
Sandals and heels are a marvelous combination. Be it a full wedge, partial wedge, stacked heel or pump, gravitypope has a great variety of heeled sandals for the summer months. An even greater range of sandals are available in store and online at www.gravitypope.com.
Paul Smith was managing his first boutique in Nottingham when with the encouragement of his girlfriend Pauline Denyer (now wife) and a small amount of savings, he opened a tiny shop in 1970. Paul started to take evening classes for tailoring and with the help of Pauline (an RCA fashion graduate), Paul was able to create what he wanted. By 1976 Paul showed his first menswear collection in Paris under the Paul Smith label. Within 20 years of his introduction to fashion Paul Smith had established himself as the pre-eminent British designer. Paul Smith has the ability to anticipate, and even spark off trends not only fashion but in the wider context of popular culture. Check out this seasons selection of limited edition sneakers, patent pumps and sandals.
