“Jack Purcell” definition
Jack Purcell was an athlete of the 1930's who earned his fame playing badminton. In 1935 he received the honor of a shoe with his name from BFGoodrich. At that time the BFGoodrich company was a rubber and tire company that produced shoes. In the early 1970's, Goodrich left the sneaker market and Converse acquired the rights to make the Jack Purcell sneaker.
