Designers Tim and Fiona Slack produced their first shoe collection in London. It was totally handmade, very rock and roll, and very expensive. In addition to glamorous shoes, they also produced hand-welted brogues for celebrity customers. The two designers wanted to expand their collection and make it more accessible. As a result, the AUDLEY brand was begun in 1990. The brand combines the two designers' eclectic design sensibilities with quality leathers and materials, and is produced in its own factory. This route of production allows affordable prices and reliable service, while maintaining the highest shoe quality.
