ASICS

Established in 1949, ASICS founder Kihachiro Onitsuka started making athletic footwear in his Kobe living room with the dream to promote fitness and to uplift the youth in post-war Japan.

Using an acronym derived from the Latin phrase, Anima Sana In Corpore Sano - a sound mind in a sound body - ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness.

Through generations of technological advancements, ASICS, along with its alternate branding Onitsuka Tiger, has become an international sportswear and fashion icon.
