Founded in 1946 by Antoni Pons Parramon, they began making leather boots and jute or rubber espadrilles in the small village of Osor, Spain.
Between 1960-1970, Antoni Pons Caros joined the team at age 18 and began expanding the brand, moving their headquarters to Girona and helping it to transition from being a small local producer into an international brand. The brand is now a third-generation family business, led by Jordi Pons who joined the team in 2012.Over the years they continued to grow, and in 2016 for their 70th anniversary they updated the brand from top to bottom, restructuring the collection and opening flagship stores across Spain. With all of their products still produced in Spain and their head office and warehouse still in Girona, Toni Pons is focused on ethically producing quality products and building up their community. As Antoni Pons Caros said, “A successful project can equally be a socially and environmentally responsible project, one that dignifies the collective to which it belongs”.
