Some recent watches I’ve enjoyed are YiYi by Edward Yang, Cure by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, and Paris, Texas by Wim Wenders. I also watched I’m a Cyborg, but That’s OK by Park Chan-wook. Gave it a go after enjoying his other films and it was strange, and whimsy, and adorable... not what I was expecting so it stuck with me and I’d like to watch it again to confirm these feelings.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
I’m not a huge concert goer and am terrible at choosing favourites of anything, but I’m seeing Oklou this fall and am looking forward to it.
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
I’d bring a big batch of Taiwanese sticky riiiice – slightly modified so that everyone can try it. It's delicious and comforting for when the weather cools down. Also, always best when shared.
What have you been eyeing in the store?
I’ve had an eye on these YMC Deadbeat trousers for a while, but I am always admiring the textures of Pas de Calais and Trippen leather bags when we get them in.

Watched or read anything recently that you’d recommend?
I recently watched Solaris, the Tarkovsky one, from 1972. It’s a Soviet movie saturated in grief, and I think it's about humankind’s search for divinity or some sort of larger understanding—it’s quiet, haunting, and graceful. It’s based on Stanislaw Lem’s novel. I also watched Black Swan and an excellent companion piece to it is Dostoevsky's novel The Double. I also watched The Valley (Bravoverse) and it’s the television equivalent of hucking batteries at caged animals. Great companion novels to that are anything by the French naturalist writer Zola.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
Oasis live in ’25.
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
I would bring 2 cans of Sapporo (for myself) and a tray of hot dogs. I'll get behind the ‘Q myself and grill for the whole party if I have to.
What have you been eyeing in the store?
I have been eyeing the Fracap M121, a pair of the New Balance 471s, and anything Studio Nicholson.

I recently re-read Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, I believe it’s about the isolation/alienation that is often brought on by work, family or society as a whole. Which in turn forces us almost “morph” into someone or something else, recommended for anyone who’s been looking for a good read that makes you think hard about real life. I don’t want to give too much away; it’s just such a really good read. I recently watched Joe’s Apartment an incredible black comedy from 1996, a product of its time but an overall masterpiece.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
Must be when my friend and I went see Quinn XCII on our “friendiversary.” Our entire friendship started with the same artist’s concert 10 years ago! We had to go back to the beginning; it was a range of emotions, but altogether very fun.
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
Gluten-free everything! As a matter of fact, let me host the entire thing, no gluten in sight. It’ll be a gluten-free FEAST! Thank you.

There are so many good things that came in this season, but if I had to pick, the Camper Issey Miyake collab on the Peu Flou has got me in a chokehold at the moment. I’m trying to tap into my barefoot life. That and the Album Di Famiglia Wide Trousers TC, they just look and feel real fly.

Watched or read anything recently that you’d recommend?
The one film that I will put on every month (at least) is Aladdin!! I’m sure everyone’s already seen it and if they haven’t, they are missing out on a classic.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
In the last few years I got to say 50 cent, he got me bopping.
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
I would have to bring picky bits – sausage rolls, pork pies, nuggets, random array of cheeses, add some coleslaw and celery for a touch of health.
What have you been eyeing in the store?
I’ve had my eyes on the SESA loafers for a while. All about choosing which style and colour I want.

I finally sat down and watched Black Swan for the first time, and it is well deserving of its hype. Taking on the familiar story of an Artist striving for perfection at the cost of self with a unique perspective. Just take whiplash and make it freaky. Shoutout to the queen Natalie Portman. Daron Aronofsky also never fails to make me genuinely uncomfortable when watching his movies.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
My Initial instinct is to say Tyler the Creators Flowerboy show because it was my first concert ever (and on my birthday), but that Playboi Carti Die Lit show was just insanity. Plus, my friend asked me if I wanted free tickets the night before soooo that spontaneity sorta made it even better.
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
Definitely following Trevor’s lead with the Sapporo’s. Following that up I have to bring this delicious Brussel Sprout Salad from Matty Matheson’s Soups, Salads, Sandwiches: A Cookbook. It’s either a love or hate thing with Brussel sprouts for a lot of people so this one is for all my Brussel sprout lovers out there.
What have you been eyeing in the store?
After cooking up for the staff styles, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this Kopka beanie Beret. It’s so awesome and silly that I can’t help but just want to wear it all the time. Besides that, anything Studio Nicholson will always have my heart.

Watched or read anything recently that you’d recommend?
I have a terrible habit of watching the same things over and over again, and they’re all embarrassing, so no.
What’s the best concert you've ever been to?
Lorde was hands down the best show I’ve ever been to. It was the first time I had bought a concert ticket with my own money, which I think made the experience better somehow.
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
This question gives me anxiety. If you don’t make something yourself, then you kinda suck, but making food can be really hard. I wouldn’t make a full dish because that doesn’t seem shareable enough, so it would have to be smaller. Little snacks just seem like the easy way out. I think the only acceptable answer is 5 bottles of wine and the world's most diverse charcuterie board.
What have you been eyeing in the store?
Most of the things I have been eyeing, I wore in my photos. The TOAST half sleeve sweater was so cozy, though I think I prefer the navy blue, and those MOMA boots! Unfortunately, the brown boots aren’t available in my size, so I’ll have to settle for black.

Wearing: TOAST Eden Raglan Cardigan, MM6 Crewneck Sweater, TOAST Pleated Pull On Trousers, Kopka Cashmere Beanie, Trippen Pentrip 05 Bag, and Rachel Comey Bose Clog.
Watched or read anything recently that you’d recommend?
I recently watched The Substance, a horror film about a fading celebrity who takes a black-market drug to recreate a younger and ‘better’ version of herself, but things go horribly wrong. It’s graphic and highly disturbing, but its message of unrealistic beauty expectations of women in Hollywood is crystal clear. This movie made me ponder so many aspects of ageing, the pressure to obsess over your looks, and learning to love yourself. It’s one of those movies that will linger in your mind after watching.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
I haven’t gone to a concert in years, but I’d love to see Wisp in Toronto this September! I love shoegaze music, and her voice is so ethereal. I highly recommend listening to her!
What would you bring to a staff potluck?
Mac and cheese…. every potluck I’ve ever attended, I was a gluttonous fiend for it so I would 100% bring it to the staff potluck (for myself mostly).
What have you been eyeing in the store?
I’ve really kept my eye on everything Trippen lately, but specifically the black Cups Fix flats because the design is so unique, and I’d love to own a pair. For clothing, Pas de Calais really draws my attention, and I’m a big fan of the Semi Flared Skirt. I need to try it out!
