Elastic gussets. The original DMS sole is heat-sealed, groove-edged and air-cushioned for bounce in every step. Ambassador leather loves your feet, moulding to their shape with every wear. Equal parts strong and soft, it’s tumbled to create a pebbled grain with a rich, oiled finish.

Although the first official Dr. Martens boot, the 1460, hit the market on April 1, 1960, the boot brand's legacy stretches back to 1901 with the bootmaking Griggs family.
