Interview with Stephan Schneider

Interview with Stephan Schneider

I opened the antwerp shop in 1996 and it hasn’t changed ever since. The lighting on the floor in the window comes
from the world exhibition in Brussels in 1958. I was amazed to see such a similar
one in the entrance of the gravitypope Calgary store...Fashionpathy
Lunch spot in antwerp?
My favourite lunch spot in antwerp is ‘native’ on muntstraat. This organic bistro is just around the corner from my studio in the old historical center of the city and serves  delicious homey healthy dishes.

Vacation spot?
When I have a day off I can’t wait to visit my grandmothers house in the German eifel region. The national park runs along the border to Belgium so it takes me just a two hours ride to enjoy the best volcanic water and freshest air on earth.

Go to Sunday album to listen to?
Donna summer greatest hits: great soundtrack for house cleaning.

Visual artist?
I adore the work of Jonathan Horowitz. It’s full of humor and entertains and irritates at the same time.

"I love the color…I am addicted to camel and all shades of brown.
The 3 rivets give an imperfection to the shoe which gives a charming and
human character to the otherwise clean and sleek sneaker."

"I dislike big brands so I have trouble finding a sneaker without a logo on.
This sneaker has just the perfect balance of simplicity and comfort."

If the color camel had a smell it is this one: a mix of vanilla and amber.

I have a lot of childhood memories from the sound of wearing my mum’s mules.
Those cognac colored ones fit perfectly under my spring summer collection.

I have a hard time with accessories and enjoy a pure clean silhouette,
still Arielle De Pinto's multidisciplinary approach to jewellery is one of a kind.
The knitted bracelet reminds me of bracelets made from human
hair we have at home from my grand grandmother.

If I was a women and if I needed a hand bag: I’ll have this one!
