The 1460 Rain boot is the first fully waterproof Dr. Martens welly boot. Designed to defy the discomfort of a downpour — with heat sealed waterproof PVC and a bouncing sole. Shaped to mirror the silhouette of the iconic 1460 boot: with faux stitch detailing, a rubberized heel tab, and a custom last shape to echo the fit and feel of the Original Dr. Martens boot. The air cushioned BEN sole is rugged and ready for long days on your feet. And a SoftWair insole ensures comfort from your first steps.

Although the first official Dr. Martens boot, the 1460, hit the market on April 1, 1960, the boot brand's legacy stretches back to 1901 with the bootmaking Griggs family. Dr. Martens' innovative air cushioned soles originated separately in 1945 with an invention by Dr. Klaus Maertens. Loved for their long-wearing comfort, Dr. Martens have become an iconic symbol of self-expression, adopted by countless artists and subcultures.
