The Store Manager in our Vancouver Tailored Goods clothing location is responsible for growing profitability by leading all aspects of daily and strategic operations within their location. They oversee all employees within their location to maximize effectiveness and reach objectives.
This position is suited to a leader who is passionate and hands-on when it comes to driving business and delivering the finest client experience. The Store Manager drives and maximizes business by working closely with all cross-functional partners, including Operations, Visual Merchandising, Human Resources, and Finance, to set up their store and team for success.
Salary range is typically $50,000 - $65,000 per annum, with additional incentive earnings available. Compensation is based on relevant experience, job-related skills, location, and performance. Candidates who bring exceptional, directly transferable skills and experience may be considered for the top of the wage range. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead and support a team of 7-10 employees through delegation, open dialogue, career-oriented discussions, and regular performance management and evaluation
- Meet sales targets while developing and maintaining exceptional client relationships
- Turn casual shoppers into loyal clients through genuine and reliable clientele practices
- Manage client expectations with client returns and repairs through prompt repair service turnaround
- Identify and prioritize store needs to accomplish business objectives efficiently and effectively
- Act as ambassador of the gravitypope brand both in and outside of work through positive community involvement
- Oversee stocking shelves and shipping and receiving to ensure efficient inventory movement
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized and saleable showroom and stockroom
Recruit, onboard, train and schedule employees as needed - Prioritize administrative work so deadlines can be met without the compromise of sales
- Evaluate and alter work processes to maximize efficiency
- Manage a budget and oversee store maintenance
- Eliminate loss through effective loss prevention practices and incident reporting
- Ensure timely processing of all product to ship and E-Commerce curbside pickup orders
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field would be considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with integrated retail and point of sales software platforms is an asset
- Familiarity with gravitypope product, clientele, and brand
Excellent communication and client service skills - Ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as ensure a high quality of work completed within an acceptable timeframe

- Strong understanding of the retail industry
