Description

The 1461 3 Eye shoe is Dr. Martens' original worker shoe, with a stripped-back construction that stands the test of time. Three eyelet construction. Two yellow stitches per inch. The original DMS sole is heat-sealed, groove-edged and air-cushioned for bounce in every step. Ambassador leather loves your feet, moulding to their shape with every step. Equal parts strong and soft, it’s tumbled to create a pebbled grain with a rich, oiled finish.

Although the first official Dr. Martens boot, the 1460, hit the market on April 1, 1960, the boot brand's legacy stretches back to 1901 with the bootmaking Griggs family. Dr. Martens' innovative air cushioned soles originated separately in 1945 with an invention by Dr. Klaus Maertens.
