The Zizi oxford shoe, created for dancer Zizi Jeanmaire, Rose Repetto's daughter-in-law, and made famous by Serge Gainsbourg in the 1970s, is one of the Maison's iconic products. Made using the unique "stitch-and-return" technique in our ateliers in France, this style combines comfort, lightness and elegance.

Stitch-and-return is the historical manufacturing process of Maison Repetto, developed by Madame Rose Repetto in 1947. The sole is sewn inside out before being turned inside out. This is an obvious way to create a flexible and emotional model.

About the Designer

When Rose Repetto created her first ballet shoes in her workshop on the Rue de la Paix in 1947, she was looking for refinement and elegance. Today the production of each shoe remains completely traditional. Just like every precious object, they are produced in limited edition.
