Sofie D'Hoore

Sofie D'Hoore is a graduate of the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts. Originally trained in dentistry, her interest in fashion eventually lead Sofie to change careers. After working in Italy for a period, she moved back to Brussels and created her first label with partner Chantal Spaas called 'Fashion Ink'. In 1992 the Flemish designer decided to create under her own name, launching Sofie D’Hoore.

Sofie’s modern designs play with shapes and textures, balancing structural elements with clean lines. Although she often explores exaggerated proportions or pops of unexpected colour, Sofie D’Hoore pieces remain grounded and completely wearable. The refinement of cut, use of natural fabrics, and quality of execution result in flattering designs with a playful edginess for anyone who values personal style over trend-lead fashion. They are clothes that can be moved in and lived in, a balance between architectural design, modern sophistication, and versatile practicality suited to our modern life of contrasts.
